From humble beginnings a decade ago, B2B Adventures made their mark in adventure tourism and boasts with four National Awards (Best Visitor Experience received from SA Tourism) for both their slack pack hiking trails – the Chokka Trail, a 52km 4 day/3 night slack pack hike in the greater St Francis area, as well as the Baviaans Camino – 95km over 4 days traversing the Baviaanskloof and Kouga Mountain Ranges. By combining the two, you would have completed a 10-day hiking holiday, the Baviaans to Bay Hike. If time is against you, but you crave for the mountains, the 4-day Kouga-Baviaans Hike might just suit your needs.
Husband and wife team Eric and Esti Stewart is 100% part of these hikes, usually with Esti hiking and Eric on logistics and support. So, with hiking wife happy, cycling husband said what about me? With no further ado they established the Baviaans Cycle Tour (situated in the Steytlerville District) and the Pink Hill Karoo Cycle Holiday, showing off the beauty of the Colesberg District.
The team realise that those booking their offerings need two important and scarce commodities – time and money. Which they respect. Their attention to detail makes any B2B Adventure the ultimate outdoor experience. From top class food (true to the area) to ice cold drinks, freshly brewed coffee along the road, not to forget the “blister sister” on duty – no request is too much. Where possible, local experiences are thrown in: a calamari tasting at Port St Francis, honey bush tea served with locally produced gin in the Kouga Mountains, where the SA National Sheepdog of 2022 shows off working her sheep, or a sunset game drive after a lekker cycle in the Karoo.
On the sport front Eric established St Francis Sport in 2006, leading to a 10-day sport series in December, the Chokka Trail Run, Baviaans Mountain Marathon as well as the Winter Walk.
Sport
St Francis Sport was established in 2006, when founder Eric Stewart and a few friends came up with the idea to host an annual Summer Series during the December season.
Building on this foundation, the main sporting events hosted annually in and around St Francis Bay and Cape St Francis are the St Francis Sport Summer Series, the Chokka Trail Run, the Baviaans Mountain Marathon and the Winter Walk.
Hiking
Baviaans 2 Bay Adventures prides themselves to offer supported, guided and catered hiking holidays, the Chokka Trail in St Francis Bay and the Baviaans Camino in the Baviaanskloof and Kouga Mountains.
We also included two shorter hikes that can be done unsupported: the Kouga Baviaans Hike in the Nooitgedacht Area, and the Geelhoutboom Hike just outside Kirkwood.
Cycling
Enjoy the hospitality of the Baviaans farmers with the Baviaans Cycle Tour, where you cycle from farm to farm over 5 nights and 5 days.
